Day 21: THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS

Struggling with trying to “be happy” is downright overrated and unrealistic. It is setting yourself up for failure and creating a downward spiral of unhappiness. There is more to life than just “being happy,” what about being a good person or learning new things or having life-changing experiences? It’s really not that hard to be happy for a moment. It is incredibly unrealistic – and kind of sadistic – to wish to be happy all the time. What about in times of mourning, or when you are sympathizing with someone, etc…? Having said that it is important to make yourself happy, but never focus on lack of unhappiness.
